The Varkan revolution (Kartvelian: ქართული რევოლუციის,kartuli revolutsiis) was a period of intense socio-political and socio-economic change in the Republic of Varkana, characterized by the effective political transition to a new constitution, the creation of an aristocratic communalist society, and realignment of politics into cardinal factions. The movement led by Zurab Avalishvili and the New Anticapitalist Party successfully created a Fourth Republic in 2004.
